If your a big UFC and MMA fan in general, then you no doubt like to keep an eye on the List of UFC Events to see what fight cards are happening when and where – then you probably want to know how to get tickets for such a historic event.
I today’s post you are going to get all the fight analysis and ticket information you need for the upcoming UFC 230: Cormier vs Lewis Fight card in Madison Square Gardens, NYC on Saturday November 3rd.
I mean seriously after the gigantic UFC 229 fight card that just happened last weekend, its hard for any fight card to match that magnitude – but ultimately all true MMA fans are simply looking forward to the next big fight on the horizon.
We all thought it was going to be Nate Diaz vs Dustin Poirier, but unfortunately Poirier has had to pull out of the fight due to an injury, so the UFC owners have had to do what they have done so many times in the past – cover themselves with the best possible replacement with time rapidly running out till the event.
But one man that fought on the UFC 229 card was none other then Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis and it has to be said he put on one of the most impressive performances of the night by knocking out a super talented streaking Alexander Volkov with only 10 seconds left in a fight Lewis was clearly losing badly, is now stepping up again for the UFC on short notice.
Phenomenal stuff, but now he is literally getting fast tracked to a title shot against the legendary two division champion Daniel “DC” Cormier fresh off his KO win over Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 for the UFC Heavyweight title, this is gona be an absolute clash of the titans! Check out this new promo for the fight –
So who’s fighting on the card?
- Daniel Cormier vs. Derrick Lewis TITLE FIGHT – so as we mentioned at the top this is the main event, maybe not what we expected but a pleasant surprise nonetheless. As far as the fight goes, it is likely just going to go one way – Cormier rag-dolling Lewis with superior wrestling for 5 rounds to get a unanimous decision or late submission/TKO perhaps. But as Lewis showed recently to Alexander Volkov, The Black Beast really has superman like dynamite in his hands that can put any man to sleep even when he is tired. Cormier will likely be too experienced and like I say will probably rely heavy on his Wrestling to defeat Lewis, but never count out a Black Beast bomb at anytime changing the outcome!
- Chris Weidman vs. Luke Rockhold – This one probably should have happened a while back, as the first fight was a great fight. But due to injuries, availability and avoiding each other perhaps the rematch is only happening now. Just as with the first fight though, I fell that Rockhold will likely be too physically strong for Weidman with his grappling and ground control.I’m sure Weidman wont be giving away any free take downs with poorly timed and out of character spinning wheel kick attempts in this rematch, as that was really the start of his demise in the first fight, but ultimately I feel Rockhold is superior to Weidman in most areas, I would possibly give Weidman the cardio, cage control and toughness edge perhaps in this fight, but I think everything else is in Rockholds corner and I do expect him to outpoint Weidman on the feet, or get a TKO/Submission on the ground.
Both men have been champions before, so I expect a high quality MMA bout when these two clash in a rematch from Rockholds victory over Weidman back at UFC 194.
- Derek Brunson vs. Israel Adesanya – Ooooh yes please! This is a tasty fight right here, as the streaking Israel Adesanya takes on the experienced Derek Brunson. Stylistically this should be easy to call – on the feet Adesanya will have a clear advantage with his high class calibre of striking, but in the Wrestling and grappling department I fully expect Brunson to have an advantage there.Brunson is a good fighter, but he is prone to catastrophic errors and Adesanya is not the man to make mistakes against, he is so cerebral and I believe he has good enough take down defence to stay safe and keep it on the feet for the most part, so I’m going with Adesanya possibly by KO.
- On top of these big fights we also have these some great fights on the under card with Karl Roberson vs. Jack Marshman, Jason Knight vs. Jordan Rinaldi and more fights to be announced! With so few fights announced for this card which is less then a month away – expect some big fights to be added to this card last minute!
So what’s the tickets costing?
UFC events tend to have different pricing structures based on who is fighting in the card, how close to the octagon you want to sit and also how much the UFCs running costs are for the arena they are holding the event at.
So for this UFC 230: Cormier vs Lewis fight card on Saturday 3rd November , the ticket prices are currently ranging from $163 – $13,069. So as you can see there is a really spread of ticket prices for this one, so no matter what your budget is you will be able to attend the UFC’s return to MSG!
If you are ready to have a look at the seating arrangements to pick where you want to sit, then you can do that now on one of the best ticket booking websites.
MSG is always a treat!
To me it really doesn’t matter who’s fighting because just being in Madison Square Gardens is an amazing treat all by itself, given the amazing fight history of the arena. Sure most of those famous events have been boxing events, but now MMA and the UFC is making its own mark in the world most famous fight arena!
But this one will be a great night of action as so far this UFC 230: Cormier vs Lewis is shaping up to be a great one! There’s still some fights missing and sure we are not getting Poirier vs Diaz now, but the fights scheduled so far are worth the cost of the ticket itself and there will be some quality last minute additions!
So if you have heard enough and want to get your ticket for this great fight card then you can do that right HERE.
I really hope you can attend and if you do, if i bump into you I will guaranteed get you a drink! 🙂 Hope you have enjoyed today’s post, so please leave a comment or question below and always like, share, subscribe and stay tuned for more from the world of MMA right here at the MMAGateway.
