Well apart from being know it alls in the realms of Martial Arts and fighting, then usually they will all be keeping an eye on the List of UFC Events, I know I do.

Then you might start asking yourself – so how much will it cost me to attend a UFC event live? Well in today’s post you are going to get a full fight breakdown and ticket booking information for the upcoming UFC 236: Holloway vs Poirier 2 fight card happening on Saturday 13th April at the State Farm Arena in GA, Atlanta, GA.

With weeks to go till the fight week build up for this event, the card is looking pretty juicy top to bottom, with the top two fights being truly fucking awesome looking fights, with a special interim title flavour.

In the main event we have a rematch of current UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway taking on Dustin Poirier for the UFC Interim Lightweight title, the match is happening because current UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is suspended in the wake of the Conor McGregor beef.

Then in the co-main event we have another Interim title bout as the striking phenom Israel Adesanya takes on the iron chinned striking bruiser in Kelvin Gastelum for the Interim UFC Middleweight title – this match is happening because current Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker has been dealing with a string of serious injuries which recently stopped a title bout with Gastelum.

Take a peek at this promo to get your juices flowing for this classic looking night of fights –

Lets Break down the fights

  • Dustin Poirier vs. Max Holloway TITLE FIGHT – This will be an amazing fight, some fights you just know that and this is definitely one of those. The reason I say that is because Dustin Poirier and Max Holloway both are true fighters, fighters if you get what I’m saying? I mean they both have a true warrior spirit so both are absolutely fearless to go with whoever whenever for real and on top of that both men are always so technically sound with consistency in their game that you can bank on from fight to fight.I have to say I think this is a really tough fight to call and I really don’t expect any Wrestling or Grappling from either man as the best strength of both fighters is their striking on the feet. I’m a fan of both fighters too so this one is going to be hard to call in the lead and I will be going back and forward on this during the lead up.

Max Holloway is coming off an amazing performance over Brian Ortega at the end of 2018 and Dustin Poirier is coming of an impressive TKO win over Eddie Alvarez in July 2018.

I hate going against Poirier, but I think that Holloway will just be a little bit too much for Poirier, so I expect Holloway to get a late TKO or a Decision win – I really expect that this will be on of the best fights of 2019 without question so expect fireworks!

  • Israel Adesanya vs. Kelvin Gastelum TITLE FIGHT – Wow this is another great fight in the co main event, it doesn’t get me as excited as the main event, but it still gets me really excited and I really do love the clash of styles here. Adesanya being the striking phenom and Gastelum being a power puncher with excellent Wrestling and an incredible chin.

I do expect that Adesanya will get the better of the exchanges on the feet as his length and excellent timing I believe will be too much for Gastelum to deal with – Gastelum will still get his licks in on the feet. But I expect that Gastelum will find a way to take Adesanya down and use his Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu skill to have some level of control in the fight.Israel Adesanya is fresh off his fascinating contest with the legendary Anderson Silva in February this year, where the Style bender won via unanimous decision. Kelvin Gastelum is coming a close fight in May of 2018 against Jacare, in which Gastelum won via split decision.

Just like the main event its very difficult to call and again I love both fighters, but gun to my head I just think Adesanya will be too much for Gastelum generally speaking, but do not count out Gastelum pulling off something similar to what Jorge Masvidal just did to the much bigger and longer Darren Till.

  • Also on top of these two amazing fights at the top of the card, we also have great fights like: Eryk Anders vs. Khalil Rountree, Montel Jackson vs. Andre Soukhamthath,  Jalin Turner vs. Matt Frevola, Ovince Saint Preux vs. Nikita Krylov, Alan Jouban vs. Dwight Grant, Wilson Reis vs. Alexandre Pantoja, Boston Salmon vs. Khalid Taha, Poliana Botelho vs. Lauren Mueller and more fights to be announced over the next few weeks!

So how much do tickets cost for this one?

Now remember that all UFC events have different price ranges for tickets and this will really be dependant on – how many celebrity name fighters are competing, how close you want to sit next to the cage and also what the UFCs running costs are to hold the event at a certain arena.

So for this UFC 236: Holloway vs Poirier 2  fight card ticket prices are currently ranging from $93 -$2, 265. But as with any quality UFC event tickets will not be available for long, so there’s a really great range of prices but make sure you are realistic about what you can afford.

Now if you want to look at the seating plans for the event and start scouting where you want to be, then you can do that on this ticket website.
